Bookkeeping Services for Fort Myers-Area Small Businesses

SoFlo360 is a Florida-based bookkeeping firm serving Fort Myers-area small businesses remotely. We're in Polk County, a couple hours north, and the whole engagement runs online — built for the construction, real estate, marine, and home-services businesses driving Southwest Florida's growth and rebuild.

How We Work

How we work with Fort Myers-area businesses

Southwest Florida — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita — is in a long construction and growth cycle, accelerated by post-hurricane rebuilding. That puts a lot of contractors, trades, real estate, and home-services owners in front of more work than they can keep books for. They don't need a big firm; they need clean monthly bookkeeping and tight 1099 and job-cost records. We do that entirely remote: bank feeds, document upload, monthly close. We're a couple hours north in Polk County, but the work never depends on the drive.

Fort Myers FAQ

Common questions from Fort Myers-area business owners.

We're based in Polk County, about two and a half hours north, and the entire engagement runs online — bank feeds, cloud accounting, video calls, monthly reports. Almost everything in modern bookkeeping runs remote — bank feeds, document upload, cloud accounting, video calls. Most of our Fort Myers clients have never met us in person, and video covers every conversation from onboarding through year-end.
A few reasons. One: no city-office overhead — we work remotely from Polk County, so you're not paying for a Fort Myers storefront. Two: we're built specifically for smaller businesses — solo owners and small teams under a few hundred transactions a month — so we're not priced around the mid-market work larger firms structure around. Three: the engagement is a fixed monthly close, not billable hours. If you're a high-volume, multi-entity operation, a larger firm may genuinely fit you better — and we'll tell you that up front.
Yes. We set the books up to track Florida state sales tax (6%) plus the Lee County discretionary surtax (0.5%) correctly per transaction. For vacation rentals, the county tourist development tax also applies, and we track it per property. We prepare each return so it's ready to file; the filing itself is normally done by you or your CPA.
Southwest Florida — especially Lehigh Acres and parts of Cape Coral — has a large and growing Hispanic business community in the trades and service industries. We offer Spanish-friendly support — calls, emails, and document review can run in Spanish whenever that's easier for the client.
For our purposes, yes. Anywhere in Lee County (Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs, Lehigh Acres, and Fort Myers Beach) is what we mean by 'Fort Myers-area' on this page. The work is identical and the pricing is identical — there's no location markup.
That's fine. Your QuickBooks Online file is yours — we don't lock it down and we don't trap data. We deliver a clean year-end packet to whoever takes over, and switching costs you nothing on our end — just give us 30 days' notice.
