Refer a business. We'll cover a month of your books.

Most of our clients come from referrals. We want to make it worth your while when you send one our way — and give the person you're sending a reason to actually book the consultation. The mechanics below are simple, no caps, no expiration.

How it works

Forward a link, make an intro by email, or fill out the form below and we'll reach out. Make sure they know they're being referred — they get a discount we don't give walk-in prospects.

They book and sign on

The referral is "activated" when they sign an engagement letter and complete their first month. (We don't reward intros that don't convert — keeps the incentives honest.)

You get a credit

One month of your current plan, credited against your next invoice. They get $100 off their first month. No caps on how many referrals you can send — credits stack.

The referred

They get $100 off month one.

$100 credit toward their first month of monthly bookkeeping, plus an expedited consultation slot — within 3 business days instead of the usual 5–7.

Eligibility

Who counts as a referral.

The rules are short on purpose. We'd rather pay out cleanly than write a legal document.

  • The referred business must be new to us — not someone who's already been on a consultation call in the last 12 months.
  • They have to sign an engagement letter and complete (and pay for) their first full month before credits apply.
  • You have to actually introduce us — "send them this link" works, but they need to mention your name when they book so we can match it.
  • Anyone can refer — current clients, past clients, CPAs we work with, friends, family. You don't need to be a current client to send a referral; we'll Venmo / Zelle / mail a check for $200 if you're not a paying client and a referral lands.
  • Self-referrals don't count (we'd catch it anyway).

Referral FAQ

A few common questions.

On the invoice that follows your referral completing their first full month. So if they sign in March and pay for March, your April invoice has the credit applied.
No credit on either side. We don't reward intros that don't convert because we'd be paying for noise. But we'll always tell you what happened — a quick "we talked, here's why it wasn't a fit" — so you know the loop is closed.
First-come gets the credit. We track by who introduced first; if it's the same day from two people, we'll ask the referred business who they'd like the credit to go to. (Hasn't come up yet.)
No. Same-owner separate-entity referrals don't count. We'll happily quote you a discount for a second engagement on top of an existing one — just ask directly.
If you're not a current client and a referral lands, we'll Venmo / Zelle / mail a check for $200 instead of the month-credit equivalent. CPAs and accountants who refer regularly: we can set up a 1099 arrangement — ask Jin directly.
