Bookkeeping Services for St. Petersburg Small Businesses

SoFlo360 is a Polk County–based bookkeeping firm serving St. Pete's downtown restaurants, craft breweries, creative agencies, real estate teams, and waterfront service businesses remotely. We're 90 minutes east on I-4, the work runs entirely online, and we don't carry the Tampa-Bay office overhead that gets passed through in most St. Pete quotes.

How We Work

How we work with St. Petersburg-area businesses

St. Pete has changed faster in the last decade than almost anywhere in Florida — the downtown arts district, the Edge District, Grand Central, and the brewery scene have made it a small-business magnet for restaurants, creative agencies, breweries, and design firms. The downside for a small operator is the same as Tampa: most local firms quote $800+/month and treat you as the smallest client on their list. We're 90 minutes east in Polk County, the engagement runs entirely online (bank feeds, document upload, video calls, monthly close), and we focus on the under-200-transactions / under-$50K-monthly-expenses tier where downtown St. Pete's pricing becomes a stretch. Where we fit best: indie restaurants in Old Northeast, Grand Central, and EDGE; the brewery / taproom / kitchen operators in Warehouse Arts and Central Arts; small creative agencies and freelancers along Central Avenue; real estate agents working Snell Isle, Old NE, and the beaches; and marine and waterfront service operators around the Demens Landing and Maximo Marina corridors.

St. Petersburg FAQ

Common questions from St. Petersburg-area business owners.

No. We're 90 minutes east in Polk County (Auburndale / Lakeland). The entire engagement runs remote — bank feeds, secure document upload, video calls. We've never had a St. Pete client miss in-person; the cross-bay drive isn't a fit for either of us.
Yes. Florida state sales tax (6%) plus the Pinellas discretionary surtax (1%) tracked correctly per transaction, plus Pinellas tourist development tax (6%) for any short-term rental. We prepare the returns for filing; you or your CPA submit.
We handle the bookkeeping side of brewery operations — COGS by SKU, kegs vs. packaged vs. on-premise revenue, distribution accounts receivable, and the TTB / Florida ABT expense and tax tracking your CPA expects to see at year-end. Federal TTB excise filings are typically handled by you or a specialist (and we'll help set you up with one if you don't have it).
Same pricing. We don't price by city — Pinellas and Hillsborough clients pay the same rates as a Polk County client. See our pricing page for the tiers; the only thing that moves price is your transaction volume, account count, and complexity.
Yes. We offer Spanish-friendly support — calls, emails, and document review can run in Spanish whenever that's easier for the client. St. Pete's Hispanic small-business community is concentrated in parts of the Kenwood and Grand Central areas; we serve clients in those neighborhoods directly.
Above 500 transactions/month or active multi-entity work we quote custom — typical engagements at that level run $1,000–$2,500/mo. If you outgrow that too, we'd hand you to a downtown firm or an outsourced controller and not charge you a transition fee. We'd rather refer up than over-promise.
