Bookkeeping Services for Dunedin Small Businesses

SoFlo360 is a Florida-based bookkeeping firm serving Dunedin small businesses remotely. We're an hour and a half east in Polk County. Dunedin is a small town, and we structure the engagement that way — flat monthly pricing, no minimum size, no admin fees layered on. Suits Main Street operators, craft businesses, vacation rental hosts, and the service businesses that make up the local economy.

How We Work

How we work with Dunedin-area businesses

Dunedin is a small market — about thirty-six thousand residents, a tight downtown, and a small-business economy that runs on independent operators rather than chains. We made this page because the city's Main Street operators and small craft businesses are exactly the kind of clients we're built to serve well: under-served by big firms, charged too much by mid-sized ones, and frustrated with the "our smallest plan is $800 a month" pricing models that don't fit a one-or-two-person shop. If that's the situation, we're probably a good fit. If your business is much larger, the bigger Tampa Bay firms may still be the right call.

Dunedin FAQ

Common questions from Dunedin-area business owners.

Probably not. The Starter plan at $149/month is built for under-50-transactions-per-month operators with one or two accounts — a solo café owner, a single Airbnb host, a one-person service business. If your monthly volume is under that, we'll let you know honestly whether monthly bookkeeping makes sense or whether a quarterly cleanup arrangement fits better.
Yes — at the level needed to keep clean monthly books. We track inventory purchases, COGS calculations, and end-of-period adjustments. For brewery TTB excise reporting or anything beyond standard inventory bookkeeping, that's outside our scope and we'll point you to specialists.
Rarely. We're ninety minutes east, and we've found that video calls handle every part of the engagement faster — onboarding, monthly questions, year-end review. If something genuinely needs an in-person conversation, we'll make the drive. Most Dunedin clients have never asked, and most Dunedin questions get resolved in 15 minutes on Zoom.
Yes. Pinellas tourist development tax is 6% on rental income, separate from the 6% state sales tax and the 1% county discretionary surtax. We set the books up to track each correctly per transaction, including what Airbnb or VRBO has already collected and remitted versus what you still owe.
Yes — that's actually one of our most common starting points. We'll review the existing file, fix what needs fixing (chart of accounts, miscategorized transactions, missing reconciliations), and then take over the monthly close from there. QuickBooks cleanup is a separate service if a lot of cleanup is needed first — we'll give you an honest read on what's required before quoting it.
Often, yes — especially for the smaller end of the market. We don't pay Pinellas commercial rent, and our Starter tier at $149/month is genuinely built for the operator size that Dunedin actually has. Compare us against the quotes you've received locally. Just check whether their lowest tier really fits your situation, or whether you'd end up on a higher plan than what your books actually need.
