Bookkeeping Services for St. Augustine-Area Small Businesses

SoFlo360 is a Florida-based bookkeeping firm serving St. Augustine-area small businesses remotely. We're in Polk County, about two hours north, and the entire engagement runs online — built for the restaurants, tour operators, shops, and rental owners that run the nation's oldest city's tourism economy.

How We Work

How we work with St. Augustine-area businesses

St. Augustine's economy is tourism, history, and the small businesses packed into the historic district and out to the beaches — restaurants, tours, galleries, shops, and short-term rentals. That's seasonal, cash-and-tip heavy, and exactly the kind of bookkeeping that needs a steady monthly close. We handle it remotely from Polk County: bank feeds, document upload, St. Johns County sales and tourist tax, year-end packet to your CPA. Two hours north, but it all runs online.

St. Augustine FAQ

Common questions from St. Augustine-area business owners.

We're based in Polk County, about two hours north, and the entire engagement runs online — bank feeds, cloud accounting, video calls, monthly reports. Almost everything in modern bookkeeping runs remote — bank feeds, document upload, cloud accounting, video calls. Most of our St. Augustine clients have never met us in person, and video covers every conversation from onboarding through year-end.
A few reasons. One: no city-office overhead — we work remotely from Polk County, so you're not paying for a St. Augustine storefront. Two: we're built specifically for smaller businesses — solo owners and small teams under a few hundred transactions a month — so we're not priced around the mid-market work larger firms structure around. Three: the engagement is a fixed monthly close, not billable hours. If you're a high-volume, multi-entity operation, a larger firm may genuinely fit you better — and we'll tell you that up front.
Yes. We set the books up to track Florida state sales tax (6%) plus the St. Johns County discretionary surtax (0.5%) correctly per transaction. For vacation rentals, the county tourist development tax also applies, and we track it per property. We prepare each return so it's ready to file; the filing itself is normally done by you or your CPA.
St. Augustine — the nation's oldest city, founded by the Spanish — has a present-day Hispanic community across its hospitality and service businesses. We offer Spanish-friendly support — calls, emails, and document review can run in Spanish whenever that's easier for the client.
For our purposes, yes. Anywhere in St. Johns County (St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, and the rest of St. Johns County) is what we mean by 'St. Augustine-area' on this page. The work is identical and the pricing is identical — there's no location markup.
That's fine. Your QuickBooks Online file is yours — we don't lock it down and we don't trap data. We deliver a clean year-end packet to whoever takes over, and switching costs you nothing on our end — just give us 30 days' notice.
